An established brand in the e-learning industry, recognized for creating top-tier learning products for apprentices, approached Browserbite for a strategic transformation. Their vision was to expand their offerings and streamline their operations by launching an E-Learning SaaS platform. This new venture was not only to be expansive in features but also required tight integration with their existing suite of applications.

Challenge

The core challenge lay in ensuring compatibility between the new application and the client's pre-existing E-Learning apps. Their original API, designed on Laravel, did not support multi-tenancy, which was crucial for a scalable and effective SaaS solution. Moreover, ensuring a seamless user experience across web and mobile platforms was paramount, as was the eventual transition from an on-premise hosting solution to a cloud-based infrastructure

Solution

1. Evolving the API

We began by extending the Laravel-based API to support multi-tenancy. This pivotal move ensured that the client could cater to multiple tenants or organizations using the same instance of the software, thereby maximizing scalability and operational efficiency.

2. Holistic E-Learning Features

The platform was equipped with all standard SaaS functionalities expected of modern e-learning platforms. Furthermore, we introduced five diverse types of questions for the questionnaires, enhancing the versatility of assessments on the platform.

3. Unified User Experience

Our team meticulously crafted a responsive web interface, ensuring a seamless learning journey. Complementing this, we also developed a mobile application using React, and with the prowess of Ionic, transformed it into a native mobile experience.

4. Seamless Transition to the Cloud

Recognizing the benefits of cloud computing in terms of scalability, security, and flexibility, we guided our client through a smooth transition from their on-premise hosting setup to AWS, one of the leading cloud providers.
