www.browserbite.io follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

www.browserbite.io does not set any cookies that require consent. For audience measurement we use Umami, a cookieless open-source analytics tool that we run ourselves — on our own server in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH, Nuremberg). The analytics data never leaves our infrastructure and is not passed on to third parties.

Umami sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses, and builds no cross-site user profiles. It records only aggregated details such as the page visited, the referrer, an approximate region, device type and browser. To tell individual visits apart, a regularly rotating, non-reversible hash is generated; it does not allow us to identify a specific person. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-preserving audience measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

To schedule appointments we link to an external booking service. When you book an appointment, the respective provider processes the data you enter (name, email address, selected time slot) according to its own privacy policy.

Booking is voluntary; no data is processed through this service unless you book.

When you submit the scoping-workshop preparation form on our website, we process the information you enter: company name, website, your name and role, your email address, and your answers regarding consulting field, methodology, goals and framework conditions.

We use this information exclusively to handle your enquiry and to prepare and conduct the requested call (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps prior to entering into a contract). Using the form is voluntary; you can alternatively contact us by email.

We store the submitted information only as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions, and delete it afterwards unless statutory retention obligations apply.

For the technical transmission of the form by email we use Mailjet (Mailjet SAS, 4 Rue Jules Lefebvre, 75009 Paris, France) as a processor. Further information can be found in the Mailjet privacy policy.

When you request a white paper through our website, we process the details you enter: your name, your business email address and your company. We also record which white paper you requested, in which language version, and when. We do not store your IP address with this record.

We use these details to provide the requested document and to handle your enquiry (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken prior to entering into a contract). Without them we cannot send you the white paper.

After submitting the form you receive a personal download link by email that is valid for seven days. So that you do not have to request the download again on a return visit, your browser stores this link locally (localStorage). This storage is necessary for the service you expressly requested (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG); you can delete it at any time through your browser settings.

If you tick the optional checkbox, we additionally add your email address to our distribution list for new white papers and articles (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent). You can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future, via the unsubscribe link in every email or informally to contact@browserbite.io. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

We store your details for as long as they are needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions, and in the case of newsletter consent until that consent is withdrawn. We then delete them, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

For sending the emails and managing the distribution list we use the service Mailjet (Mailjet SAS, 4 Rue Jules Lefebvre, 75009 Paris, France) as a processor. Further information is available in the Mailjet privacy policy.

On our website we offer an optional chat, labelled as an AI assistant, that helps you figure out which white-label tool could be built from your consulting methodology. Use is voluntary; the chat only starts when you actively open it and send a message.

When you use the chat, the messages you enter are transmitted via our server to Mistral AI (Mistral AI SAS, 15 rue des Halles, 75001 Paris, France), which acts as a processor on our behalf, in order to generate the reply. Processing takes place in the EU.

We do not store chat histories. The conversation is kept only in your browser and is deleted when you reload or leave the page. To prevent abuse (rate limiting), your IP address is processed briefly in our server's memory; it is not stored permanently. The chat does not set cookies and does not store any data on your device.

The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing an interactive consulting assistant). Please do not enter any personal or confidential data in the chat.

Where external links lead to third-party websites, the privacy policies of the respective providers apply there.

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

www.browserbite.io does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

Our Privacy Policy created at GDPRPrivacyPolicy.net) applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in www.browserbite.io. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.
